With over 100,000 attendees, Dreamforce, Salesforce.com’s annual conference, which is descending on San Francisco from 10/13 - 10/16, is likely the largest B2B conference in the world.
I’ve talked about what marketers can learn from CEO Marc Benioff, but this post will show you why Dreamforce is a must-attend conference for B2B marketers, from the awesome content to the equally epic parties.
Salesforce has been a dominant player in the B2B space and Dreamforce offers a unique perspective into not only where Salesforce is headed, but the broader industry as well. Stay ahead of the curve.
Despite “sales” first coming to mind when you think of Dreamforce content, there’s quite a bit for marketers too with 159 marketing sessions. From lead nurturing to analytics and email, there’s something for just about anyone.
From politicians Hillary Clinton and Al Gore to musicians Will.I.Am and Neil Young the keynotes at Dreamforce 2014 will be one to remember. Take a break from your industry sessions and soak in the inspiration from some amazing people. Walk away inspired and ready to rock and roll when you return to work.
A mega conference like Dreamforce is a noisy place, so exhibitors are always looking for creative ways to stand out from the crowd. It’s a great place to get ideas for your next conference. For example, Optimizely ran a blimp ad over the concert which generated quite a bit of buzz.
Speaking of rock and roll, it wouldn’t be Dreamforce without an amazing concert. This year is Bruno Mars. Need I say more?
A core part of Salesforce’s culture is 1:1:1 model. Since it’s founding, Salesforce has given over $68+ million in grants, 680,000+ hours of community service, and provided product donations for over 23,000 nonprofits. At Dreamforce there are dozens of ways anyone can give back to the community.
Last but certainly not least is the networking and parties. With hundreds of parties, Dreamforce (and San Francisco) is a great place to unwind and have fun with coworkers and your peers.
It would be a bit hypocritical if we laid out the case for attending Dreamforce, but didn’t attend ourselves. We’ll have multiple team members there, so be sure to stop by the Bizible booth in Moscone West for some goodies and to see how Bizible connects online marketing such as AdWords into Salesforce so you can optimize by ROI.
