What Bizible + Marketo Means

It’s been about a month since we announced Marketo’s acquisition of Bizible on stage at Marketing Nation Summit, and with time to reflect and have many conversations with the Bizible and Marketo teams, I couldn’t be more excited for Bizible’s future at Marketo.

We started Bizible seven years ago with the mission to help marketers connect their marketing to revenue so that they could make smart decisions and grow their companies. It’s a simple idea, but a complex challenge.

In those seven years, we pioneered the B2B multi-touch attribution space and built what is now the market-leading solution. We’ve succeeded because of the people behind the scenes and the great customers who pushed us to continue innovating and improving the product. We will continue to aggressively innovate and help our customers understand what’s working with advanced analytics so that they can make smarter decisions and, ultimately, grow their companies.

We remain passionately committed to our mission, and now, we’re on that mission with Marketo, the world leader in marketing automation.

Same DNA

From my first conversation with Steve Lucas, Marketo’s CEO, I knew our teams were built from the same DNA. We have the same passion, competitive spirit, customer-first value, and vision for what we wanted our respective companies to become. In fact, we independently landed on practically identical strategies. We wanted to help marketers “Plan, Execute, Measure” based on revenue impact and ROI. Marketo’s version only had one word different: “Plan, Engage, Measure.”

With so much incredible alignment, I have no doubt that we’ll see our vision come to fruition faster and better than we could make happen alone. We’re bringing together best-in-class marketing measurement and best-in-class marketing engagement—something no other company can offer.

Doubling Down

Hundreds of Marketo customers use Bizible today to gain greater visibility into their marketing performance, and we’re excited to bring Bizible to even more of the Marketing Nation. Bizible gives Marketo customers a deeper analytics offering than currently exists within the Marketo portfolio, and we continue to build deeper product integrations with the Marketo platform.

Both Steve and I understand that Bizible must remain the leader in B2B marketing measurement for more than just Marketo customers. We’re growing the Bizible team, investing even more in the product, and even doubling down and double-comping our sales team for bringing in customers who don’t use Marketo.

Growing in the Marketo Ecosystem

Joining Marketo gives us access to more opportunities than we had alone. For one, Marketo has already built great relationships with a whole ecosystem of partners. We’ll also leverage the breadth of Marketo’s amazing Marketing Nation to reach many more customers with our game-changing technology. Finally, Marketo has a team of experienced leaders who have shepharded teams through critical growth phases, and we can’t wait to learn from them.

I couldn’t be more proud of the team we’ve built at Bizible. It always comes down to the people—cliche, but absolutely true. As we join Marketo, creating a new Seattle satellite office, the whole Bizible team is excited to continue our mission and help our customers grow.
